:: Noteworthy attractions: Næs Iron Works Museum Situated between Arendal and Tvedestrand, is the best preserved of the old Norwegian iron works. The works were in operation from 1665 until 1959. The old iron works complex has now been transformed into a museum, where you can see first-hand how iron and steel was produced in the old days. Come along on a fascinating wander through this industry's history. The entire Nes works was chosen to represent Aust-Agder County's Millennium location. Here amongst beautiful surroundings is a golf park, park area, nature paths, fishing river and sports arena.
