April: Àrinn – Folk music festival
"Norsk folkemusikk- og danselag" are the organisers of this festival, and acoustic tradition music is its focal point. The aim is to create a space for traditional expressions of the small music forms.

17/7-19/7: Skåtøy ballad and poetry festival in Kragerø
For the 7th consecutive year this festival is being held at Skåtøy, in Kragerø’s beautiful skerries.

17/7-19/7: Risør Bluegrass festival
Rousing, acoustic bluegrass music, jam and concerts with about 20 Norwegian and foreign bands. A people’s homage to bluegrass music.

21/7 - 27/7: Canal Street - Arendal Jazz and Blues Fest
Last week in July, it’s music on the rocks! Out on the islands and skerries, in the back alleys and avenues. Summer music filling the air; making you feel it’s good to be alive. Lauryn Hill, Gary Moore, Gypsy Kings and many more!

30/7 - 3/8: Eikerapen Roots Festival
First week in August the Eikerapen Roots Festival will be in Eikerapen, Åseral. Exciting artist, both national and international plays at the festival, which attracts about 5000 people every year. Special events are "Under the Dam", a spectacular scene under one of the dams in the area (over 600 meters above sealevel), drive-in cinema and Am-Car exhibition.

International and Norwegian artistes, choirs and orchestras make their mark on Kristiansand during the The International Ecclesiastical Music festival in June.
